Abstract
Research on the Effectiveness of Pruning Time of Apical Shoots and Subsequent Giving of KCl Fertilizer on Peanut Production (Arachis hypogea L.) to determine the time of pruning of Apical Shoots and subsequent KCl fertilizer application on peanut production (Arachis hypogea L.) Bison varieties. This research was conducted for 3.5 months, starting from November 2016 until February 2017 at State Polytechnic of Jember, this final project is done using Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factorial. The first factor of pruning Apical Peanut Shoots: without pruning (M0), 7 days after flowering (M1) and 14 days after flowering (M2). Second factor after KCl fertilizer: No KCl fertilizer (N0), 3 weeks after planting (N1), 5 weeks after planting (N2) and 7 weeks after planting (N3), consisting of 12 treatment combinations 3 replications. The observation was done on the variable of branch number, weight of stem, weight of wet pod, dry weight of pod, weight of 100 seed, dry seed weight. The results showed that the number of branches was significantly different to the pruning factor, the weight parameter of the dry beans yielded significantly different factor on the KCl fertilizer application, the parameter of wet pod weight and the weight of dry pod was very different on the factor of KCl supplementation, there was no interaction in both factor, so it can be concluded that when pruning apical shoots and KCl fertilizer application effective against peanut production.
