Abstract

Occupational fatigue occurs due to abundance of jobs or heavy workload that is incompatible with the physical conditions of the workers. Fatigue decreaces work capacity and work endurance is characterized by the sensation of fatigue, decreased motivation and decreased activity. The results of observation at Kaliwates Hospital workers there was 11 people working at medical record department, 3 male workers (27.3%) and 8 women (72.2%) where the workers often had complaints with the physical or health condition. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors causes of fatigue at work on workers medical record at Kaliwates general hospital. The method used qualitative by observation, interviews and focus group discussion. The result of the research showed that all working age group of 20-40 years (63.6%) and aged 40-65 years (36.4%) as well as the work period 6-10 years (54.5%) and >10 years (45.5%) suffered occupational fatigue due to work caused by the amount of work or the heavy workload in the form of duties and responsibilities on workers. Working time is available on workers for 1,736 hours or 104,160 minutes/year and the effective working day for 288 days. Based on the results the suggestions made, namely by the addition of labor on medical record, the provisions on rest time and the effort redesigning the room near the area of the inpatient room and poly specialist so that the distance is more effective.
