Abstract

This study aims to analyze and test the elements of a packaging design from the kansei words by motede kansei engineering on the packaging of jackfruit chips UD. Dua Dewi in Jember Regency. The population in this study were consumers aged between 17-40 years, the number of samples in this study were 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling method or aiming sample. Tests carried out on design element variables consisting of 3 elements, namely 1) Graphic design into 4 sub-elements of design, namely brand name, color, typography, and image, 2) Design structure into 3 sub-elements of design, namely shape, size, and material, and 3) Product information. The analysis technique used is Kansei Engineering. Based on the results of the analysis of the results and the discussions that have been carried out, conclusions can be drawn as follows: Based on consumer desires to obtain 7 design elements, namely (1) Name of the brand that is curious. (2) A combination of colors that is obtained fresh and bright results. (3) Arrangement and arrangement of product names obtained results that are upper and clearer. (4) The form of packaging is transparent. (5) The size of the package obtained is a 100 gram size package. (6) The packaging material desired by consumers is aluminum oil. Whereas (7) Information on the packaging there are some that are indeed determined based on the desires that are chosen by consumers, namely content, weight, volume, halal, company name, logo, manufacturer, product name identity, a brief description of the product, and legal food.
