Abstract

The research aims to increase the rice field production by optimizing nitrogen doses and seedling age settlemen. This research was carried out in Karang Malang area, Kalianget Village, Banyuglugur District, Situbondo Regency. The time for conducting this research began on 30 of September 2018 until 24 February 2019. The research method used is a Randomized Block Design with two factors. The first factor treatment was the optimizing of nitrogen doses with a concentration of 3 levels, namely, a dose of nitrogen 1.9 gr/plant, a dose of 1.6 gr/plant and a nitrogen dose of 1.25 gr/plant. And factor two is the age setting of rice seedling with a concentration of 3 levels, namely age of seedling of 15 HSS, age of seedling of 20 HSS, age of seedling of 25 HSS. The data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance and tested using level 5% and level 1% DMRT. The results showed that the treatment of seed age had a very significant effect on the number of tillers 14 HST, 28 HST, 35 HST, 49 HST. The optimizing the treatment of nitrogen doses has a very significant effect on the number of tillers 28 HST, 35 HST, 49 HST, and has a very significant effect on the number of productive tillers. The treatment of nitrogen dose optimization had a significant effect on Clumps, weight of grain per clump, weight of grain per plot. The interaction of treatment for optimization of nitrogen doses and age of seedling significantly affected the number of tillers aged 35 HST. The interaction of the treatment of nitrogen dose optimization and seedling age had a very significant effect on the number of tillers aged 49 HST.
