Abstract
Snacks has become the part which cannot be separated from the life of the community, particularly in elementary school children. The purpose of the study is to know the difference support parents, the child's knowledge and practice of election of the snacks in Elementary Full Day School with Non Elementary Full Day School in Jember Regency. Type of research method using analytic observational survey with cross sectional research design. Instrument for data collection using the questionnaire. The subject of this study is for students of class 4 and 5 elementary school. Amounted to 72 students/ respondents composed of 35 students Full Day School and 37 students of Non Full Day School. The results of the analysis using the Mann Whitney test different shows there may be differences with parents support group respondents Elementary Full Day School with Non Elementary Full Day School namely (p = 0.005), there is no difference of knowledge with a group of respondents Elementary Full Day School with Non Elementary Full Day School namely (p = 0,19) and there is no difference in the selection of food hawker with a group of respondents Elementary Full Day School with Non Elementary Full Day School namely (p = 0.075).
