Abstract

Breakfast is an important meal time for someone to start activities 15-30% of nutritional needs that has function as a source of energy and nutrients in order to concentrate on studying and doing activities well. Flashcard is a picture card with a size of 8 x 12 cm or adjusted to the large and small class faced, the card contains of images that was used to train and enrich vocabulary, Flashcard is a practical media used as a media learning which is one of the alternatives for teachers to effectively make learning activities and students do not feel saturated or bored. Purpose of this research is to develop flashcard media about breakfast in boarding school. Kind of research uses RnD (research and Development) with (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) ADDIE model. Subject of this research are female students of Pondok pesantren Al-Qodiri Jember as many as 30 female students. Analysis data of this research is qualitative descriptive and descriptive qualitative by using Likert scale. Result of this research is the analysis of the student’s needs, while for design step are material content, display of fonts and colors for the development of Flashcard media so that generates prototype media flashcard about the breakfast according to the results of students analysis. Material validation test result by 100% presentation with very satisfied categories. Media validation test result by 98% presentation with satisfied categories. Small group test by data collection assessment techniques using a calculation of Likert scale produced a percentage of 85%. While the big group test result in a percentage of 93%. According to the quantitative data conversion guidelines to qualitative it can be categorized very satisfied, by a flashcard learning media statement is worthy to use.
