Abstract

The role of cadres is one form of government effort in empowering the community to help improve health in the community, especially the problem of losing toddlers which is still the target of the Indonesian government in 2024. The problem of toddlers wasting in the working area of Kencong Health Center in 2019 is 133 children, then there is an increase to 230. Toddlers in 2020. This is due to several reasons, namely 80% of the cadres received less education about wasting toddlers and 70% of cadres received nutrition education only by lecturing method without any educational media. As many as 70% of the cadres chose flipchart media which were considered to be used as media for educational needs because the way to use the media was very easy, could be displayed, the size was more flexible and could be used for groups and individuals. Therefore, it is necessary to study the development of flipchart educational media for Posyandu cadres to improve education about wasting toddlers. This research method uses Research and Development (R&D) research using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The number of samples in this study were 68 Posyandu cadres in the Kencong Health Center working area, taken proportionally stratified random sampling. The results of the research on developing flipchart media for toddlers wasting from The feasibility test by material experts were 98% and media experts 100%, these results are a feasible category. In the field trial without revision, the results of the product acceptance test were 100%, meaning that the product was very suitable for use as an educational media for Posyandu cadres. It is suggested that this flipchart product about wasting toddlers can be used as an educational medium for the benefit of further health research which involves educational interventions for other communities.
