Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect substitution of fermented tofu waste to profitability of cross breed native chicken.. This research is used to Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and four replications. The treatment used to substitution of fermented tofu waste 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. Parameters of this research are production cost, income, profit, Income Over Feed Cost, profitability cross breed native chicken.Subtitution of fermented tofu waste had significant effect (P<0,01) on production cost, feed cost, and income. However, subtitution of fermented tofu waste had no significant effect (P>0,05) on profit, Income Over Feed Cost, and profitability cross breed native chicken. The best results are shown by the substitution of fermented tofu waste on the feed by 5% up to 20% it can depress production cost and be able to increase income, however substitution of fermented tofu waste with level 5% up to 20% did not provide a real influence against for profit, Income Over Feed Cost and profitability of cross breed native chicken. The conclution is substitution of fermented tofu waste at the level of 5% to 20% can be recommended as an alternative feed because it can reduce the cost of feed and production cost with improve same feed efficiency for cross breed native chicken.
