Abstract

Making a Booklet as a Promotional Medium of Genius House Jember, Anggi Febriyanti Ekananda Hariadi, F31210764, 2024, 29 Pages, English Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Asep Samsudin S.Pd., M.Li., (Supervisor). One of English courses in Jember is Genius House Jember. It is located on Jl. Anjasmara No.III Wunguan, Kencong. This course is a unique English course. It has an English Camp Program that provides a place to stay for students who take the English Camp program. The promotional booklet entitled “Great Innovation in Learning English” was made to be the additional promotional medium of Genius House Jember. This booklet consists of three parts: opening, content, and closing. The opening section contains a cover, foreword, and table of contents. Furthermore, the content section contains information about history, teacher profiles, course program, facilities, activities, achievements, testimonials, map locations, and social media. In the closing section, the cover contains the writer's name, the name of the supervisor, the name of the examiner, the logo of Jember State Polytechnic, and copyright. All information included in the booklet content was collected through observations, interviews, documents, and audiovisual materials. The writer found several challenges in doing this final project. The first challenge is that the writer has difficulty in dividing time so that the writer is often late in sending revisions. Second, the writer is constrained by the less good grammar, therefore the writer still needs Grammarly software to double-check the results of the final project. Third, the writer is constrained by the owner of Genius House Jember who is difficult to meet, therefore hampering the writer in doing the final project. In this final project, the writer managed to improve his writing skills in creating scripts and translating from Indonesian into English. In addition, the writer learned many lessons while completing the final project. The writer learned to manage time well so that the final project could be completed properly.
