Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fermented shrimp head waste filtrate on the productivity performance of laying hens. The study was carried out using the experimental method Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), if there were significant differences, it was continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) using 40 layer phase laying hens divided into 4 treatments with the level of administration, namely P0 = control, P1= feed = filtrate 12 ml, P2= feed + filtrate 24 ml, P3= feed + filtrate 36 ml with 5 replications and each replication contained 2 laying hens. Treatment starts at 74 weeks to 78 weeks. The parameters observed were feed consumption, egg production, egg weight and feed conversion. The research results showed that there was no significant difference (P>0.05) in feeding fermented shrimp head waste filtrate on feed consumption, egg production, egg weight and feed conversion. The conclusion of the study showed that giving fermented shrimp head waste filtrate to laying hens gave the same results.
