Abstract
The Sijek application is a digital platform designed to develop micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Situbondo. However, this application faces several obstacles such as unattractive display, striking colors, unclear features, inappropriate fonts, and non-working features. These problems reduce user comfort and efficiency. This research aims to update the design of the Sijek application to be more user-friendly. The method used is Design Thinking which consists of five stages: empathy, definition, idea, prototype, and test. Observations and interviews were conducted to understand user needs, followed by identification of key problems, brainstorming solutions, prototyping, and testing with actual users. For evaluation, the System Usability Scale (SUS) method was used which resulted in an average score of 73. The score shows that the new design of the Sijek application is more attractive and meets user expectations. The results of the study show that the Design Thinking approach and SUS evaluation can produce effective design solutions, improve the quality of Sijek applications, and support MSMEs in Situbondo.
