Abstract

This research is about the viability test of Metarhizium anisopliae (Mestch.) Sorokin fungus on various propagation media. The propagation media used are: corn rice, rice bran, and corn bran. Conducted in November - December 2023 at the Plant Protection Laboratory of Jember State Polytechnic. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of propagation media on the growth of Metarhizium anisopliae fungus. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) and was further tested with 5% F test. The parameters observed were incubation period, growth rate, and spore density. The results showed that the propagation media had no significant effect on the incubation period, but had a very significant effect on the growth rate and spore density of Metarhizium anisopliae fungus.
