Abstract
The aim of this research is to evaluate the quality of drinking water for laying hen farms based on population density in Jember Regency. The parameters observed were physical quality (temperature and TDS), chemistry (pH) and microbiology (Coliform and Escherichia coli). In this study, 8 water samples were tested which were obtained from 2 sampling points, namely water sources and drinking water places taken from four farms. The results of this research, namely the data produced, show that there is no increase in physical values, both temperature and TDS, chemistry in the form of pH and water microbiology in the form of Coliforms and Escherichia coli along with population density. The conclusion from this research is that population density does not affect the physical, chemical and microbiological quality of water. This is proven by the data produced showing that there is no increase in the physical, chemical and microbiological values of water along with population density.
