Nowadays, the development of technology is increasing rapidly. Technology is a tool that can help most human needs especially in education. In the educational field, the use of digital media in the learning process has been applied in many schools, including lecturers and students. One of the digital media in the learning process that usually use by lecture is e-book. E-book are mainly known as a set of informative text material from printed book cover in digital form. Because of that, e-books can be accessed anywhere and anytime. It means that student can remind the material after learning process. The e-book used as the resources in teaching and learning process is mostly in the English language since English become international language. In practice, the students still face many problems in understanding the material during the learning process. Therefore, students need a translation version to explore the knowledge contained in a book. The translation will be helpful for the student because they can understand the content of the book easier. Based on the interview with the lecturer of Informatics Management Study Program and the questionnaire from 46 Informatics Management students, the writer decided to translate one of the e-books to help the students of Informatics Management study program for understanding the materials. In this situation, the writer will translate one of the learning resources from the Informatics Management Study Program entitled “Object-Oriented Programming Using Java”. The text discussed about many concepts that related to object oriented programming using java. To finish this final project, the writer translated the text using the process by Budianto and Fardhani (2010). Those are read and analyze the whole text or source text (ST), find out the equivalence meaning of SL and change them to an appropriate structural form into TL, and reread the whole new text (target text). The writer used the procedure by Vinay and Darbelnet (1995). Those were direct and oblique translation, but most of the sentences using direct translation. After finishing the product, the result of translation get revising from the proofreader, Informatics Management student, supervisor, and lecturer of Informatics Management Study Program, the writer revise the result of translation and make sure that it has been clear enough. If all the process has been finished, the result of translation will available in PDF format and it will share to Informatics Management Study Program as a resource to support their learning process.
