Abstract

The popular mode of transportation in Indonesia is still dominated by motorbikes, this also makes many automotive enthusiasts and hobbyists use motorbikes as an object for engine modification because they are cheap and economical. On high�performance motorbikes, manufacturers apply sequential injection technology to accommodate fuel supply at WOT (wide open throttle). So that the superiority of this technology can be a benchmark for application to modified motorbikes, an analysis of the effect of applying sequential injection with variations in ignition timing on engine performance was carried out. The method used is qualitative, namely by mapping single injection and mapping sequential injection with ignition timing of 30° and 35° BTDC using a programmable ECU. The research results prove that the application of sequential injection with variations in ignition timing is able to increase engine torque and power, namely 42.71 N.m and 55.1 HP with an SFC value of 0.1419 Kg/HP.h.
