Abstract
Betel leaf decoction is a natural additive that can be used as an antibiotic. Giving natural additives to broiler chickens can improve the immune system in livestock. This study aims to determine the effect of adding betel leaf decoction (Pipper betle) in drinking water to the percentage of carcass and internal organs in broiler chickens. The experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test. Using 200 broiler chickens. Substitution of addition of betel leaf decoction in each treatment has a different concentration, P0 (Providing drinking water without ingredients), P1 (Providing 1% betel leaf decoction / liter of drinking water), P2 (Providing 2% betel leaf decoction / liter of drinking water), P3 (Provision of betel leaf decoction 3% / liter of drinking water). The parameters observed were the percentage of carcasses and internal organs in broiler chickens. The results showed that the addition of boiled betel leaves (Pipper betle) in drinking water had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the percentage of carcasses and internal organs in broiler chickens.
