Abstract

This study aims to find out how the effect of adding soy sauce pulp flour and cassava peel flour as a source of energy and protein on quail egg production. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) method using 175 quails. Then divided into 4 groups with different levels of soy sauce pulp and cassava peel flour, namely P0 = basal feed without the addition of 0% soy sauce pulp and cassava peel flour, P1 = basal feed without the addition of soy sauce pulp and cassava peel flour by 5% , P2 = basal feed + soy sauce pulp flour and cassava peel flour as much as 10%, P3 = basal feed + soy sauce pulp flour and cassava peel flour as much as 15%. Each treatment was repeated 5 times so that 20 units were obtained with a total of 10 quails per unit. Parameters observed were feed consumption, egg production, egg weight, egg production and mortality. The results of this study indicated that the addition of soy sauce pulp flour and cassava peel flour had a significant (P<0.05) effect on egg production, but had no significant effect on feed consumption, egg weight,feed egg ratio and mortality. The conclusion of this study is the addition of soy sauce pulp flour and cassava peel flour in feed can increase egg production up to a 5% feeding rate.
