Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the National Movements for the Acceleration of Nutrition Improvement which is a priority in the first thousand days of life. The purpose of this study is to determine the picture of mothers' attitudes in providing exclusive breastfeeding towards the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Karanglo Village, Lumajang Regency. This type of research is analytical that uses a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study is mothers who have babies aged 6-24 months who live in Karanglo Village. This study used purposive sampling techniques with inclusion and exclusion criteria as many as 46 respondents. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The sample size in this study was 46 respondents. The results of the Chi-Square test show a p-value = 0.033. There is a significant relationship between maternal attitudes and exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: exclusive breastfeeding; mother's attitude; the success of exclusive breastfeeding
