Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oil type as a source of ration energy in improving the efficiency of broiler feed. Analysis of the data used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The feed used has a protein content of 21% and a metabolic energy of 3045 kcal/kg given ad-libitum. The use of a type of oil in the ration with equal protein and energy content in each treatment. The result showed that the type of oil had no effect (P>0,05) on feed consumption, but had a significant effect (P<0,05) on body weight gain and had a very significant effect (P<0,01) on feed conversion. The conclusion of this study is the use of lemuru fish oil can improve the efficiency of broiler feed.
