Abstract

This research was motivated by observations from researchers that in the world motorcycle modification. The effort of these modifications is nothing but aiming to get the engine performance above the standard average. The method that can be done is by varying the mass of the CVT roller to get the desired power or torque. The purpose of the study is. (1) Know the effect of the CVT roller weight on the performance of Yamaha Mio soul motorbikes. (2) Knowing the graph pattern that results from the interaction of the CVT roller weight for the work of the Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle. (3) Knowing the CVT roller weight interaction to work yamaha mio soul motorbikes. This research uses an experimental method. This research was conducted to determine the effect of roller weight variations on the performance of the Yamaja Mio Soul metic motorcycle. The results showed (1) There was no effect on the mass of a standard CVT roller with a significant variation in torque and power in varying the mass of the CVT roller on wheel rotation. (2) There is a significant effect of wheel rotation variation on torque and power in varying the mass of the CVT roller, (3) Maximum power of 8.5 hp can be obtained on an 11 gram CVT roller with variations in engine speed 2000 rpm to 8000 rpm while the maximum torque of 12.87 Nm is obtained on a 11 gram CVT roller with variations in engine speed 2000 rpm to 8000 rpm.
