Abstract

Stunting is a condition in which a toddler has a height less than the standard, namely the z-score value is less than -2 SD. It is a nutritional issue with direct causes, which is one of them is a lack of nutritional intake for a long time and indirect causes such as lack of nutritional knowledge and low family income. The impact on stunted toddlers includes nonoptimal growth and development of cognitive and motoric and increases the risk of degenerative diseases. One of the efforts to prevent the issue is to develop nutritional information media on stunting. The research objective was to develop nutritional information media on PMT in mothers having stunted toddlers. The type of this research applied a Research and Development (R&D) design with the ADDIE development model. This research used the subject of mothers having stunted toddler in Kamal Village. The data analysis applieddescriptive qualitative by using comments and suggestions from the validator as material for the media improvement, and quantitative data analysis used the assessment score of the material expert and media expert validators. The research finding indicated that flipchart was required as the media. the resulting flipchart media as a health promotion media and the results of the flipchart validation by the material expert validator 1 received a score of 88% and the material expert validator 2 received a score of 80%. The results of the flipchart validation by the media expert validator 1 received a score of 98% and the media expert validator 2 received a score of 80%. Therefore, the flipchart media is proper to use based on the validation assessments of material experts and media experts.
