Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of augmented from agarwood leaf extract as a antioxidant before transportation on depreciation of physiology and broiler’s weight loss. That was an active compound which resolved broiler’s stressed condition in agarwood leaf extract, it was called agarospirol. The method of this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) experimental method, used 200 broilers attained the age of 25 days divided into 4 treatment groups with different levels of agarwood leaf extract, they were P0 (contro), P1 (250 mg/kg body weight, P2 (300 mg/kg body weight), P3 (350 mg/kg body weight) with 5 replications and each test contained 10 broilers. The parameters observed were weight loss, heart rate, increase in body temperature and respiratory rate. The results showed that the augmented of agarwood leaf extract (Grynops vestegii) had not a significancy effect (P>0,05) on the percentage of broiler’s weight loss, heart rate, increase in body temperature and respiratory rate.
