Abstract

Elderly is stage to be natural by each individual. One of health problems that happened to the elderly is osteoporosis . Osteoporosis is desease marked with the reduced the bone mass density. Osteoporosis Risk increase in the menopause, because associated with the reduced the hormone estrogen in women. This research aims to understand the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about osteoporosis and calcium intake with mass bone postmenopausal women in the work area of posyandu gladak pakem. This research is research survey analytic using cross-sectional approach. The sample collection using a technique propability sampling. This study was conducted on 05 june -10 august 2015 in posyandu elderly the working areas of puskesmas gladak pakem. Data collection using a questionnaire, Form food frequency spring quantitatif, and weight scales of body composition. By involving 61 respondents. Based on analysis bivariat that has been tested use of statistical correlation rank spearman, the result test of knowledge relationship about osteoporosis with bone mass the p 0,818 ( p > 0.05 ) that indicates not there is a correlation meaningful between both variables, in the attitude relationship about osteoporosis with bone mass the value p 0,220 ( p > 0.05 ) that indicates not there is a correlation meaningful between both variables , In the intake calcium relationship with of bone mass the value p 0,038 (p < 0.05 ) that indicates there is a correlation between both variables.
