Abstract
The livestock development concept that increase the income of smallholder farmers and create global competitiveness of livestock products needs to be carried out considering that livestock has great potential to be developed. This work is in line with the Indonesian people consideration that places a livestock products in second place after agriculture. Planning management in livestock business is very important, because it is related to decision making for all livestock business activities. Optimizing the management system and providing proper livestock food were done to empowerment the farming community in Kemuning Lor Village, Arjasa, Jember. The purpose of this community service is to assist the farming community in efforts to improve the quality and quantity of livestock populations and livestock product production, as well as establish mutually beneficial partnerships supported by the mastery and use of appropriate environmentally friendly technology. The community needs to know how important it is to understand the management of livestock business planning. The activity stages are designed for 12 weeks, which is preceded by coordination and communication activities with the local partner in Kemuning Lor. The intended preparation is the determination of activity targets and activity locations. The results of this service activity indicate an increase in knowledge and skills of dairy farming in Kemuning Lor in terms of improving management of livestock business management by implementing a recording system and application of feed based on edamame skin waste.
