Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect used bidara leaf flour in feed on the immunity of broiler. This research is the experimental method. The study consisted of five treatments with different doses of bidara leaf powder, namely: (P0) control, (P1) addition of 1% bidara leaf powder/kg feed, (P2) addition of 2% bidara leaf meal/kg feed, (P3) the addition of 3% bidara leaf meal/kg feed and the last (P4) the addition of 4% bidara leaf meal/kg feed. This study used 200 broiler chickens. Each treatment consisted of four replications, each replication consisted of 10 chickens. Parameters observed were the percentage of bursa fabrisius weight, spleen weight percentage, thymus weight percentage and lymphocyte percentage. The research data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (Anova) and if there were differences in treatment it was continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the addition of bidara leaf powder in the feed had the effect of reducing the percentage of bursa fabricius and increasing the percentage of spleen, but had no significant effect on the percentage of thymus weight and the percentage of lymphocyte ratio.
