Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Jember is one of campus that has lots of departments. Language, Communication and Tourism is one of departments at Politeknik Negeri Jember. That department has one study program, that is English study program. Internship Program is a company training that must be conducted at the end of semester in order to apply the students skill in a work place. The period of Internship Program is 384 hours for Diploma III and 512 hours for Diploma IV. The Internship Program gives the opportunity for the students for applying their skills and competences that they have already got from learning activities in college. In this case as a student of English study program, choose the recommended place that relevant with their skill and competence. The writer choosed Taman Pintar Yogyakarta as a place of her internship program. Taman Pintar had a tourism object about science and technology that can attract the visitors. Taman Pintar also intoduce about culture of Yogyakarta. Therefore the writer chose did internship program in Taman Pintar because the quality of the tourism object is good and the writer interested to did internship program in Taman Pintar Yogyakarta. While did internship program the writer joined in public relation division. In this study program, there are two kind of requirements to graduate. One of them is finishing internship program. This program is held about two until three months. Internship program gives some experiences that the students did not get in campus. Internship program is the activity that the purpose is to apply the lessons has been learned to practice and to increase students’ skill in the real workplace. To do this program, the student need to know the job and the responsibility of a certain position. vi The writer choose Taman Pintar Yogyakarta to conduct the internship program. Taman Pintar Yogyakarta is the only one science center that located at Jalan Panembahan Senopati, Yogyakarta. The writer was placed in Public Relation, Cooperating & Marketing Division. The internship program was started for two and a half month. It started from 4th February to 4th april 2019. The working time was started from 8 am to 4 pm. It was about 8 hours.
