Abstract

Gedeg Health Center is one of the health centers that has a high hypertension rate in Mojokerto Regency. The number of essential hypertension patients at the Gedeg Health Center tends to increase every month. In January 2021 as many as 131 patients, in February 2021 as many as 133 patients, March 2021 as many as 168 patients, April 2021 as many as 167 patients, May 2021 as many as 143 patients, and June 2021 as many as 176 patients. Based on interviews with the nutritionist on duty, this was because hypertensive patients did not know a good diet and the educational media used for counseling did not contain information related to hypertension. One of the efforts that can be done is to provide education related to hypertension. Education can be done using the media. The purpose of this study is to develop educational media for people with hypertension. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The subjects selected were hypertensive patients and nutritionists at the Gedeg Health Center, Mojokerto Regency. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the analysis of media needs required are leaflets because they are considered more practical and can contain more material. The results of material expert validation got a score of 92%, the results of media experts were 90%, and the results of the acceptance test were 82.2%. The conclusion from the results of material and media validation is that the leaflet media made is feasible to use. Based on the results of the acceptance test, it was concluded that the leaflet media was accepted for use at the Gedeg Health Center, Mojokerto Regency.
