Abstract

HMIS registers outpatients that are implemented in the RSUD Dr. Moh. Saleh Probolinggo still has some problems that often occur between the deaths is the HMIS application register part of outpatients, frequent obstacles such as data communication, slow in searching patient data, and has never done an evaluation of the HMIS register of outpatients. The impact that occurs is a disruption occurs in the service of the patient register. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of HMIS registers for outpatients based on aspects that are in the PIECES method. The type of research used is qualitative methods. The object of this study is HMIS register of outpatients and the subjects of this study were 3 officers registering outpatients, 2 IT officers and 1 medical record officer conducted by interview and observation and documentation. The results of the research conducted by researchers obtained that HMIS register outpatients have been able to provide sufficient performance in the outpatient registration service process, but have not been able to fully produce complete and accurate information, human resources and funds provided by the hospital has been able to handle the system properly, the system that has a system of integrity and restrictions on the right of access to each work unit each has been running well. The system has also been able to provide a warning box in the event of a data vacuum. So that system evaluation is needed which is expected to be used as a reference in decision making or system development. Keywords: Hospital Management Information System (HMIS), PIECES
