Abstract

Cats are mammals that have become one of the most popular pets and many devotees in the world, especially in Indonesia. Although cats are very clever in maintaining cleanliness, but cats can still be attacked by diseases, especially diseases that attack their skin. Diseases that attack the cat's skin are generally scabies caused by Sarcoptes Scabiei. Symptoms caused by scabies include thickening of the skin and scabbing, hair loss, and itching. If the area and location caused by the mite are wide, and the nutrition and environment are poor, it will further aggravate the state of the cat, especially in cats aged 0-1 years. If a cat with scabies is not treated immediately, it will cause death, especially in kittens. In addition, the lack of veterinarians in an area is not commensurate with the current growing number of pet cats. Distance / access is also an obstacle for cat keepers because the location of the vet's residence in a particular area is only in the city center. This study aims to develop an expert system application using the Tsukamoto fuzzy method which is able to help each cat keeper in diagnosing the severity of scabies in cats along with recommendations for drug administration and how to handle it. After testing the blackbox, the results show that the system can run in accordance with the expected scenario. For UAT testing (User Acceptance Testing) the results obtained are 94.46% which can be interpreted that the system can be received very well by the user. Key words : Scabies of Cats,Severity of Disease, Expert System, Fuzzy Tsukamoto.
