Abstract

Utilization of PP (polypropilene) plastic waste using the pyrolysis process, polypropilene plastic can be converted into liquid fuel if the PP type plastic fuel is used on vehicle engines, there are several standards that must be met and a comparison of several fuels in the market, between others test the heating value and combustion rate. In testing the calorific value of BBPP + 10%, 30%, 50% ethanol obtained the highest heating value in BBPP + 10% ethanol with a value of 9485,271 calories / gram. In testing the calorific value of Pertamina BB with the types of Premium, Pertalite, Pertamax + 15% ethanol, the highest heating value of BB with Pertamax + 15% ethanol with a calorific value of 11229,706 calories / gram. In testing the value of the combustion rate at BBPP + 15%, 30%, 50% ethanol obtained the highest combustion rate at BBPP + 30% ethanol with a value of 125,49 grams / second. In testing the combustion rate of Pertamina type Premium, Pertalite, Pertamax + 15% ethanol, the highest combustion rate value in the type of Premium + 15% ethanol with a value of 85,50 grams / second.
