Abstract

Human resources are important for agricultural instructors, especially in agricultural development which is closely related to the extension. This is inseparable from the provision of motivation which is a spirit in carrying outperformance, so that it is able to carry out its main tasks and functions. This research is a research that is based more on the research gap, namely there are differences in views between previous researchers in different locations so it is necessary to have a test to get the results that are most in line with the current research conditions. This study analyzes the factors related to the performance strategy, namely compensation, communication, and commitment that affect the performance of agricultural instructors through organizational culture as an intervening variable. On this basis, a theoretical model and 7 hypotheses were proposed to be tested using the SEM method. The sample of this research is 132 respondents of agricultural instructors in the Bondowoso Regency. The results of the SEM analysis meet the Goodness of Fit Index, namely Chi-square (X2) = 134.369 with a probability significance of 0.995, GFI (0.931), AGFI (0.904), TLI (1.034), CFI (1,000), RMSEA (0.011), CMIN /DF(109). The results of this study indicate that the increase in the performance of field agricultural instructors can be improved through organizational culture. Organizational culture is influenced by compensation, communication and commitment. The theoretical implication obtained from this research is that compensation, communication, and commitment affect the performance of agricultural instructors through the intervening variable, namely organizational culture. The managerial implication that can be suggested is that building mutually beneficial cooperation in organizational culture with compensation, communication and commitment are aspects that need to be considered in order to achieve the efficient and effective performance of agricultural instructors.
