Abstract

Shallots are one of the leading vegetable commodities that have been intensively cultivated by farmers for a long time. Probolinggo Regency is the center of shallot production in East Java. In 2016 Probolinggo Regency was able to produce 40,324 tons of the 304.521 total shallot production in East Java. Along with the spread of the growth of shallot plants, several regions in Indonesia have experienced a decline in shallot production. Therefore, a decision support system was designed and made for selecting the right land conditions for shallots in Probolinggo Regency using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Decision Support System is a system that provides support to a manager, or to a relatively small group of managers who work as a problem-solving team, in solving semi-structured problems by providing information or advice on certain decisions. specific, as well as outputs and mathematical models. In this study, the decision support system uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. A decision support system for selecting the right land for planting shallots in Probolinggo Regency using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method has been built according to the needs of shallot farmers. It is hoped that the design of a decision support system for selecting the right land for planting shallots in Probolinggo Regency using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method will produce the best shallot land. The AHP method has been applied in the construction of a land selection decision support system for planting shallots
