Abstract

Biomass is a renewable energy source which refers to biological materials derived from organisms and plants and from processing. A biomass stove is one of the media used to carry out the reaction of the combustion process with biomass fuel, and the heat produced is used for cooking purposes. The biomass stove used by the community is generally still very simple and produces low efficiency values, for that it is necessary to increase the efficiency of the biomass stove by adding reflectors with several variations to increase the efficiency of the stove, the stove used in this study is the UB-03 biomass stove. . The reflector also functions as a fire concentrator and captures heat lost to the environment. The method used in this research is the Water Boiling Test (WBT) method. This study shows that the addition of a reflector with an angle of 65° with a number of holes 10 can increase the efficiency by 4.27%-15.30%. The highest efficiency of the UB 03 biomass stove at an angle variation of 65° with the number of holes 10 cm is 25.07%.
