Abstract

CV. Anugerah Alam Abadi is one of the biggest companies that processing wood into veneer or plywood and has many customers from various regions on the island of Java to foreign countries. This company is located in Bondowoso Regency, East Java. The company implements a purchase order sales system. However, companies have difficulty to predicting the costs required to fulfill purchase order requests from customers, starting from costs for purchasing raw materials, purchasing supporting materials, and labor costs. The company also finds it difficult to determine how much raw material (wood) is needed, if too much inventory investment will cause the cost of raw materials to increase, while if there is too little then customer demand will not be fulfilled. This research aims to create a system that is able to estimate how many purchase order requests are needed, that is with a forecasting system. Based on these problems, the author applies the triple exponential smoothing method. From the calculation results, forecasting purchase order using triple exponential smoothing method, the smallest MAPE value is 28,947% with an alpha of 0.16.
