Abstract

Every healthcare facility is required to implement electronic medical records. One such implementation at the Sumberjambe Community Health Center is the SIMKES system in the registration unit; however, issues persist, specifically the system's non-compliance with the Satu Sehat patient resource standards, the lack of information regarding new and returning patient visits, and the absence of duplicate patient alerts. This study aims to evaluate the registration unit's SIMKES using the PIECES framework, covering performance, information, economics, control, efficiency, and services. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing data collection methods such as interviews, observation, documentation review, and brainstorming with ten informants. The results indicate that the performance aspect fails to meet user needs or comply with standards. Regarding information, the system does not generate accurate data or align with user requirements. Economically, there is a lack of dedicated IT personnel. In terms of control, the system's security level remains weak. Efficiency standards are met due to ease of use, as well as the availability of guidelines and technical support. Regarding services, the system lacks duplicate patient data alerts and does not mandate the entry of the National Identity Number (NIK) or BPJS number. Therefore, improvements and further development of the registration unit's SIMKES at Puskesmas Sumberjambe are necessary to ensure effective and efficient staff workflows.
