Abstract

Manual transaction recording and financial statement preparation often cause recording errors and require considerable time to generate financial reports. This study aims to design and develop a web-based accounting information system for service companies to support transaction recording and financial statement preparation. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. Laravel was used as the development framework, while MySQL was used as the database management system. System testing was conducted using Functional Testing and Usability Testing with the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The results showed that all system functions operated according to user requirements. The SUS evaluation produced an average score of 57.5, indicating that the system can be used by users to support transaction management and financial statement preparation. Based on these results, the developed system is capable of supporting accounting processes in a more effective and structured manner for service companies.
