Abstract

Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) is one of the plantation crops that has an important role as the main sugar producer in Indonesia which can help the national economy. Sugarcane is an important commodity for the people and the Indonesian economy, namely as a staple and as a raw material for the food or beverage industry. This study aims to determine the effect of potassium (K) fertilizer on sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) nurseries of R 579 Bululawang variety. The research was carried out in Mangli Wetan Village, Bondowoso District from August 2020 to January 2021. The factors in this study were the addition of KCL fertilizer at a dose of 150 kg/Ha (P1), the addition of ZK fertilizer at a dose of 180 kg/Ha (P2), addition of KNO3 fertilizer at a dose of 600 kg/Ha (P3), the addition of NPK fertilizer at a dose of 600 kg/Ha (P4). The results showed that there was an effect of providing potassium (K) fertilizer on the growth of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) variety R 579 Bululawang. The displayed image was not significantly different in the stem height parameter, but the displayed tiller parameter was significantly different. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the stem height parameter, but the tiller parameter showed a very significant difference. Key words : Sugarcane, Potassium Fertilizer
