Abstract
The rice supply chain traceability system plays a crucial role in ensuring quality to meet export market standards. UD Tani Rejo Jenggawah has transitioned from manual recording to the cloud computing-based JejakPadi system on web and mobile platforms to digitize its operations. Although implemented, the system's effectiveness relies heavily on usability aspects to prevent human errors by both farmers and administrators. This report aims to evaluate the user interface (UI/UX) of the JejakPadi system using the Heuristic Evaluation method based on Jakob Nielsen's 10 principles. The evaluation was conducted by analyzing the functionality and visual ergonomics on both platforms, followed by assigning a Severity Rating scale. The evaluation results show that the system is generally adaptive to the user's real-world environment; however, dominant issues with a Major severity scale (Scale 3) were found. These constraints include the use of manual text input on mobile forms, which are prone to typographical errors (typos), and web tracking results dominated by long texts. Based on these findings, design improvements are recommended, such as replacing manual input elements with automatic dropdowns and improving the navigation structure to enhance the comfort and accuracy of rice quality data recording.
