Abstract

The research was aimed to investigate the effect of jajar legowo planting spaced systems to the production of paddy, the effect of paddy varieties to the production of paddy and the effect of interaction between jajar legowo planting systems and paddy varieties to the development of paddy production. It was held for 4 months during December 2015 until March 2016. It was held in experimental field of State Polytechnic of Jember, East Java of the height of 89 m above the sea level, the soil type was andosol with 6 of pH level. It used Factorial Randomized Complete Block that consisted of 6 treatment combinations. The first factors were jajar legowo planting systems (L) that consisted of general planting space 20 cm x 20 cm (L0), jajar legowo spaced of 2:1 (L1), jajar legowo spaced of 4:1 (L2), the second factors were varieties type (V) consisted of Sembada hybrid variety (V1) and IR64 superior national variety. Variables under investigation were plant height, number of total plant produtive plant. The research variables were analyzed by analysis of variant and the post hoc that was used was Less Significant Different (LSD) at the level of 5%. The usage of jajar legowo spaced of 2:1 (L1) got the highest result of another planting spaced systems. The variety of IR64 (V1) had highest result of production parameter. There was no interaction matter between planting spaced systems and varieties to each parameters that meant the planting spaced system consistent to every varieties that were used.
