Abstract

The practice of field work carried out at PT. ISM, Tbk Division Bogasari Surabaya in March-May 2016. The purpose of the field practice is to determine the condition of the working environment and memandingkan theory that has been gained in college with the real condition in the field. Placement of field practice is in the Department Mills. The task of the department is grinding mills wheat flour until the extraction obtained with the qualifications specified. Stage of the process the department mills generally consist of three phases, namely a first cleaning, second cleaning, and milling. The third stage has the potential for problems to occur. Mill C are mills with the latest engine upgrade, but in april 2016 encountered many problems on stage first complaint dry so do the evaluation in the daily work report and obtained even dominant that problem on a machine combi cleaner. Deepening the root of the problem is done with the help of methods of brainstorming and fish bone diagram. From the application of the two methods obtained permalahan root causes of recurring problems contained in combi machine cleaner.
