Abstract

The purpose of this study is the effect of distance Spraying Spray Gun with Variations mixture Thiner do the stages of painting process that consists of the preparation of materials and equipment, continued painting process to determine the results obtained after the painting is done. After the stage of surface preparation is complete, then the process of spraying with the paint process made the room is open to air dry drying temperatures between 25º-30º C to a method of spraying distance influence of variation (8, 13, 17) cm with thiner mixture (1: 0.5 , 1: 0.8, 1: 1.1) ml. After the painting process is completed, then testing using thicknes coating on the surface of the paint. The test results using a coating that is 73.3 μm thicknes is the result of the process of painting a good comparison. In the process of spraying with an area of 12 m2 field needed paint much as 0,085 liter paint Identifying damage to get a result of which, there is a visual defect that arises on the surface. concluded that there are some defects of painting, namely: Fish eye, Blushing, Orenge peel.
