Abstract

The aim for this study is to make water injection system (WA-I) that can be aplicated in 4 stroke gasoline motor, then researcher will be analysis the exhaust gas emission and combustion efficiency (CE). This study use 3 injection holes of WA-i the variation are 25G(0,50mm), 26G(0,45mm), and 27G(0,40mm), this variation will be tested in diferent engine rotation (2000, 4000, 6000, dan 8000 Rpm). Gas Analyzer T161D Didacta Italia used to analysis the gas emission. On 4000 rpm, WA-I 27G more efissien to descrease the CO gas emission than without WA-I with a result 0,41% vol CO. On 2000 rpm, WA-I 25G more efectif to descrease CO2 gas emission content than WA-I with result 3,1%vol CO2. The lowest HC gas emission content produced in test methode without WA-I in 8000 rpm the values is 27 pmm. On 8000 rpm, WA-I 27G more efectif to descreased O2 content than without WA-I with result 0,88% vol O2. The lamda value λ (lamda) as close as 1 (perfect value) produced with WA-I 26G in 8000rpm the result is 1,011. The lowest CE gas content produced with test methode with WA-I 25G in 2000 rpm engine rotation and the CE value is 76,73%.
