Abstract
Solar Power Plants (PLTS) is the right alternative to fulfill the electric necessary that is getting increase. Batteries in the PLTS is a very important component for storing electrical energy so that it can be used everytime. It is necessary to test the performance of solar panels and monitoring the battery to control the real condition of the battery. From the test conducted on the solar panel obtain the highest panel efficiency results of 14.13% with an average voltage of 19.89 V, the current flowing following the massive solar radiation received and the optimum irradiation time for 4-5 hours. Monitoring system that is made by Arduino microcontroller to control the voltage and current on the battery with the difference of reading with measuring device of 0.06 V at the voltage sensor and 0.02-0.94 A on the current sensor. 200 Ah battery charging time from 15 to 18 hours with charging current of 3.42 A to 24.64 A with tension on empty battery condition of 12.5 V and at full battery condition of 14.5 V. While in the process of discharging a 110 W engine cooling load, current, voltage and power the follow from the compressor work with discharging duration for 17 hours.
