Abstract

Medical record is a file containing records and documents concerning the patient's identity, examination, actions and other services provided to the patient when treated. Perception can be interpreted as a response to a person's work. Performance is the result or level of success of a person as a whole during a certain period in carrying out its duties. Based on the preliminary survey it is known that there were only 4 officers who graduated from DIV Medical Record. The level of education and knowledge of the officers may affect the performance perception of the officer in performing the maintenance and preparation of patient medical records file. The objective of this research is to determine the perception of the performance of medical records officers on the maintenance of medical record files in hospitals dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo. Maintenance of the medical record file is done both in terms of file preparation, storage, maintaining security and maintaining the confidentiality of information in the record file. This research used quantitative descriptive research with cross sectional design. Sampling used total sampling and got 22 respondents. The results of this researchshowed that some medical records officers already have enough perception as many as 11 respondents (percentage 50%) and the results for the maintenance of medical record files performed already have good criteria as many as 11 respondents (percentage 50%). By considering the result of this research, the researcher has a suggestion is proposed for the hospital. The researcher hopes that medical record officers can attend training such as seminars held by hospitals in order to improve their experience so that the workload of the officers is better and improve their performance.
