Abstract

Microhydro Power Plant (PLTMH) is a plant that utilizes the potential energy of water as its driving force. Bondowoso Regency is a potential District for Micro Hydro Power Plant because in Bondowoso District there are many waterfalls that can be used as PLTMH. PLTMH can meet the electricity needs in Bondowoso District. From the results of potential studies if planned Micro Hydro Power Plant then it can replace electrical energy of 778.87 kW or equivalent to 1726 homes with each house using 450 Watt electricity. From the PLTMH, it is expected that the community can use well for houses that are not uninterrupted by electricity, for the productivity of society, and public facilities such as street lighting during the night, lighting night post and mosque or mosque.
