Abstract

An experiment to study the effect of restricted feed and metabolism energy at age 14 to 56 days on the production of layer quail. The experiment was conducted used Completely Randomized design. Treatment of restricted feed and metabolic energy given is P0R1: adlibitum (control) EM 2900 kcal / kg, P0R2: adlibitum (control) EM 2800 kcal / kg, P1R1: Feeding restriction 90% EM 2900 kcal / kg, P1R2: restricted feed 90 EM 2800 kcal / kg, P2R1: restriction feed 80% EM 2800 kcal / kg, P2R2: restricted feed 80% EM 2800 kcal / kg, each treatment consist of 5 replications consisting of 20 quail. Feeding restrictions were made from 14 days to 56 days. Observations were made on the production of layer quail. The results showed that restricted feed had a significant effect (P <0.05) on feed consumption, egg production, and Feed Egg Ratio during period production.
