Abstract

The purpose of this research is to calculate the exergy analysis and application Cetral Composite Design (CCD) for optimization of geothermal power plant at PT. Indonesia Power UPJP Kamojang. Based on the second laws of thermodynamics an exergy analysis with a 2 x 55 MW power output is performed using to evaluate the performance of the power plant and indicate the location of destruction of the exergy. Using the engineering equation solver (EES) software, the exergy destructions take place through losses in the condenser with exery rate, irreversibility, and efficiency exergy in unit 2 and unit 3 are calculate to be 187468 kW, 156170 kW, 23.63 % dan 222344 kW,164230 kW, 23.58 %. Optimization using Central Composite Design (CCD) of Responses Surface Method (RSM) with two independent variables. The variable are angle, and flow for oprimization response temperature output cooling tower is 28.810C. Using the Minitab 17 software, the optimal condition is obtained by adjusting angel is 10.90 and flow is 11744.6 m3 /h.
