Abstract

Making an english newscast tutorial video of UKM e-club Politeknik Negeri Jember was the writer’s Final Project. The basic reason of choosing this project was based on the results of observation in UKM E-club. We got information that the Participants of newscast division learn by the explanation from the trainer, watched newscast videos from internet by native speaker, and book. They have already had English newscast tutorial video not Indonesian newscast tutorial video. However, the trainer got difficulties in understanding the English newscast tutorial since the speaker spoke to fluently for the trainer. Then, for that reason the writers created an English newscast tutorial video for UKM EClub Politeknik Negeri Jember together with the example how to deliver some news such as breaking news, sport news, live report and weather report. Therefore, in tutorial video, the writer gave some steps and suggestions of how to deliver the news. In designing an English tutorial video, the writer asked a help from a cameramen to shoot the video. Then, the writer did the evaluation to get feedbacks. From the feedbacks, she edited the video. In conclusion, in designing English tutorial video, we should have a good pronoounciation, speaking, language components and computer skill to get the best video. We suggested to the participants of UKM E-club and to the trainer of newscast division to use the Newscast Tutorial Video as an additional media for newscast division of UKM EClub . Moreover, we suggested to Politeknik Negeri Jember to support students` needs in conducting the final project.
