Abstract

Making an English Newscast Tutorial Video for UKM English Club Politeknik Negeri Jember was the writer‟s final project which was dedicated for the participants of UKM E-Club Politeknik Negeri Jember especially for the participants of Newscast Class in UKM E-Club. The reason the writer choosed this project was because she found that the training process of Newscast Class in UKM E-Club only uses audio visual like video about English newscast from internet as the material for the participants. There was no additional media to support the participants in mastering the materials of speaking skill. Unfortunately, this media could not be understood by the member easily. They did not know the content of the video actually, because the newscaster was native speaker, so the accent and also the pronounciation was perfectly fluent. This fact made the participants hard to follow the video. Therefore, the writer made an English Newscast tutorial video to improve the speaking and writing skill when made the script. In addition, the writer made her video became three parts; opening, content, and closing section. Then, she did the evaluation to get feedbacks. In conclusion, making an English newscast tutorial video, the writer should deliver the news in correct pronounciation, intonation, expression, and computer skill to get the best video. The writer suggested to the participants and the trainer of UKM E-Club to use the English Newscast Tutorial Video as an additional media for support the training process. Moreover, the writer suggested to Politeknik Negeri Jember to support student‟s needs in conducting the final project.
