Abstract
The study aims to determine the diversification of each variety of soybean (Glycine max (L) Merril) and also the effects of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and the yield of soybean seed production. The research was conducted in four months, started from October 2013 to January 2014 at the research field of State Polytechnic of Jember. The research was done by using a randomize block design with 2 factors, which are the dosage of liquid fertilizer (control, 10 ml/L 22,15ml/L 40 ml/L) and soybean variety consisting of Baluran and Anjasmoro. Each factor consists of four levels and two levels with four time replication. The results showed that the best dosage for plant height parameter was 40 ml (p3), and the best dosage for the numbers of pods, as well as for 100 grain weight was 10 ml (p2). Both „Baluran‟ and „Anjasmoro‟ gave significant differences on the plant height, number of branches, number of pods and 100 dry grain weight. Moreover, liquid organic fertilizer gave significant differences on plant height, number of pods and 100 dry grain weight. However, the application of liquid organic fertilizer did not give any significant difference on the seed viability. Lastly, the best soybean variety was „Anjasmoro‟ with the highest plant height, highest number of pods, highest result of dry grain weight and highest seed viability.
